AEON National Rollout in Japan

I just returned from a trip to Japan where I have seen parts of a national rollout of AEON, the leading supermarket and shopping malls operator. We believe the rollout was done with Scala software and all screens are connected with Minicom Digital Signage’s DS Vision 3000 systems, allowing for full screen control over CAT5.

From the picturesque town called Hilversum, in Netherlands, our digital signage agent sent us info about this installation.

It is in fact digital signage installation, but not very dynamic. Or better to say – not dynamic at all. The digital board is showing one picture at the time, and the pictures change in regular rhythm. Their content – a bit of theater program, a bit of sponsors’ commercials. Does it look good and cool? Not really…

Bookstore – A World of Its Own – A Digital World

The autumn semester is approaching, so I made a tour over my favourite bookstores. Next to the new colours in technical section, I was happy to see that they finally digitalized! A screen of the average size is presenting the top bestsellers, available software and latest tour guides.

Nice use of digital signage as information system.

Volleyball, Scoreboards, Izmir & Istanbul, Turkey

The European volleyball championship for men is taking place these days in Turkey. The competition is held in two sport arenas – Halkapinar Sports Hall in Izmir (on the picture above) and Abdi Ipekci Arena in Istanbul (picture below).

And as we said in one of our previous posts – Dijital Iletisim are THE words in Turkey, we see the proofs for it on daily base.
