So today we do it all over again at Infocomm 07. Day 1 went well. The set up was excellent and our technology made a very good presentation. Traffic was somewhat down, but the customers who found us were very impressed with the new DSVision products.
The digital signage area is split into two areas – one upstairs on the main floor – the second – downstairs at the entrance from registration. While traffic seemed to be heavier downstairs – the presentation areas were somewhat darker than the floor upstairs.
There was a good mix of hardware providers and content management software companies represented.
C-Nario was showing their new version of the software that allows up to 8 different content streams to be generated from one Server.
Scala was showing off the new version of their high end software.
Many attendees are contemplating how to make their mark in the Digital Signage area with some already beginning to test the waters and are looking for partners in the puzzle.
A lot of attention was focused on the “long tail of Digital Signage application” for the markets outside of retail.
We have some key meetings set for today and look forward to people making their way into the Digital Signage Pavilion, having visited the large PRO-AV vendors yesterday.
